Coursiv and NightCafe Announce Winners of the $15,000 BeyondAI Art Challenge

The BeyondAI Art Challenge has officially come to a close — and the results show what happens when creativity, learning, and AI come together with intention.

From January 6 to January 22, artists, designers, and digital creators from around the world were invited to imagine a future where humans and artificial intelligence collaborate rather than compete. The challenge asked participants to create 10-second AI-generated video artworks exploring life after AI becomes a stable creative tool — guided by human vision, not driven by automation.

Participants highlighted the growing global appetite for creative AI literacy and an accessible incentive for artists to co-create incredible artwork with AI as a valuable partner, rather than a driver.

After a multi-stage judging process, five creators were selected to share the $15,000 prize pool for their originality, emotional impact, and creative direction:

Winning artworks will be featured in the official BeyondAI Public Gallery, showcasing how artists around the world are already shaping the next chapter of creative AI.

A Global Learning Moment, Not Just a Competition

BeyondAI was designed as more than a contest. It was a live learning experience — one that showed how people can build AI skills through practice, experimentation, and creative direction rather than a technical background.

Participants learned to craft prompts, experiment with AI models, refine outputs through human judgment, and use AI as a collaborator instead of a shortcut. These are the same transferable skills taught across Coursiv’s learning platform, where users build real-world AI fluency by creating — not memorizing.

NightCafe provided access to powerful AI art models, enabling creators to focus on storytelling and visual intent rather than on software complexity. The result was work that felt personal, emotional, and distinctly human — even when generated with AI.

How the Winning Art Was Selected

Coursiv shortlisted the top 200 submissions based on overall quality and alignment with the BeyondAI theme. Final entries were then evaluated by a jury of leading AI artists:

• @mclalan_ — Recognized for anime-inspired imagery combined with modern analog photography
• @ai_art_insanity — Renowned for cinematic AI reinterpretations of iconic characters

Each submission was scored across four criteria: creativity, originality, emotional impact, and thematic relevance.
